We had the third of 10 webinars today on how to market your language or literacy program. Today we had participants from Canada, the U.S., and Israel. I was so thrilled to see people there from so many different places, and diverse programs.

This program focused on:

  • How to write marketing copy
  • Features vs. benefits
  • Tips and tricks for writing effective marketing materials

  • How to set marketing goals
  • How to identify a target market
  • The difference between “end users” and “target market”
  • How to budget for marketing and promotion

Teaching Non-Profits How to Use Webinars Effectively

Tomorrow is an exciting day for me. I start teaching another “Build Your Own Webinar” course. This will be the third time I am teaching the program and I’m pretty excited. In the past, we’ve had participants from literacy and other non-profit organizations who run educational programs, as well as entrepreneurs, and people working in small to medium-size businesses.

The course basically teaches people how to build a webinar step-by-step, taking it from concept to delivery. The idea is that by the end of the program, participants have a webinar that is ready to go live.

Webinar programs for professionals offered by Chinook Learning

I’m thrilled to be working with Chinook Learning to help them launch their brand new webinar program, starting in January. We have put together a series of webinar aimed at professionals in the corporate and non-profit sectors.

The new programs include:

How to Develop a Social Media Policy

Managing Social Media Disasters

How to Lead Difficult Meetings

How to Use Scribd to Publish Documents Online

Twitter for Professionals

Each program is $45 CAD. Organizations can pay one fee and have a number of participants watch the program from around a boardroom using one common computer to show the webinar. This is excellent value for organizations looking for inexpensive professional development.

All the programs are offered from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. Mountain Time, so they work as a “workplace lunch and learn” program.

Since all of these programs are offered via webinar, registrants from around the globe are welcome to attend.
